My Quarantine Favorites!

Posted in: Personal

Hi friends! Okay so it goes without saying that this whole quarantine thing has been so weird, especially not working.

I’ve learned to love the daily routine I’ve set for myself and thought to make a YouTube video to show y’all some of my top quarantine favorites! Let’s go through a few of them…

Atomic Habits by James Clear

I was recommended this book by Katy Hearn Schneider (my idol) last year and finally went to buy it! It was the night Disney announced they’d be closing for two weeks that I went to Barnes and Noble to pick it up. It’s been a great poolside read so far… Basically it’s about how small changes will lead to big results and change the trajectory of your life! I’ve already found certain habits that I’m tweaking to be more positive and it’s working!

Alani Nu Energy Drinks

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know how much I LOVE these energy drinks. I have one per day at lunch and I’m telling you… they are beyond good. They’re carbonated and the flavor I like tastes like mimosa. How much better can it get? It has 10 calories and has no sugar. Sometimes it’s enough to fuel my workouts but mainly it’s a great mid-day drink. I pick mine up at the local GNC to save on shipping $$$.

Alani Nu Pre Workout

If my workout is later at night and the energy drink has worn off, one scoop of this and the pump is real! I refuse to gain weight during quarantine so a daily workout is essential. Several of Alani Nu’s pre workout flavors are delicious and they just came out with a new flavor! Breezeberry! Can’t wait to try it 🙂

Alive by Whitney Simmons

This is probably the top of the list for my Quarantine Favorites. Ain’t no Quarantine 15 in this house! This workout program on Whitney Simmons’ app kicks my butt every time. I don’t know about you but it’s really hard to motivate myself during a workout when I go in without a plan or even go in with a plan I set for myself. This app is awesome because it gives you the workouts you need to do and it’s all time-based. Typically 45 secs on, 20 secs off. It shows multiple angles of Whitney doing the exercises herself so you know what the proper form is and let me tell ya, it’s worth the $14.99/month. If you’re skeptical and want to try one of her workouts before starting the program, head over to her YouTube channel where she posts several at-home workouts similar to the ones in her app!

Blink!

Apparently this is the World’s Fastest Game and I believe it! This is a super simple card game that you play with one other person and the rounds last maybe 30 seconds. It’s super fun! Ryan and I love to play.

L’Oreal Infallible Foundation

You may not know but I’m a big fan of all the makeup gurus on YouTube. I watch ’em all. I don’t care to spend too much time on makeup for myself but this foundation has been my go-to for the last couple months. I’ve tried $3-$50 foundations and have found the perfect match with this L’Oreal Infallible foundation! It covers just enough of my freckles to where it looks natural and not cakey. It is a matte finish and stays on even through an intense workout!! I’m telling you, it will be one of your favorite foundations once you try it!

I threw in one more thing I love doing at the end of the video so you’ll have to watch to find out what it is 😉 Hope you enjoyed this video of my quarantine favorites and I can’t wait to make more in the future! Comment below any video topic ideas you’d like to see from me.

Like this post? I think you’ll also love this one!
