A wedding at the Dr. Phillips House in Orlando, Florida is truly a dream for Ashley and Ian – as they were hoping for a more relaxed and laid-back scene to commemorate their sharing of vows. This historic venue has a great blend of modern amenities and old-world charm. Almost 5 years ago now, I met Ashley at her friend’s UCF Grad session and since then, I’ve gotten to photograph these two three times. They modeled for me at new locations in Winter Park, had their engagement session at Sand Key Beach (I will be blogging this shortly!) and now their wedding.
The way these two look at each other – like there is no one else in the room😭 They make my job EASY. There are a lot of personal favorites from their Dr. Phillips House wedding and a lot of creative shots I had time to do on the FujiFilm that I can’t wait to share. We are so happy for the Molgaards and feel privileged to have captured their love for each other since the very beginning.
Thanks to all the vendors who helped make this day a success!

A fun story behind this photo… We decided to surprise Ian with the timing of the First Look. My second shooter, Katie took him out just a little further passed the trees to do some more solo pictures because Ashley was “running behind”. Little did he know, Ashley was actually making her way to him to surprise him. Katie was with Ian, I was right behind Ashley getting her walking up to her groom and I knew this aerial shot of her walking down the path HAD TO BE DONE. Shoutout to Ashley’s amazing friend, Cayla who helped me with this. I made sure the settings were perfect, told her where to stand and how I wanted the composition of the shot to be and she nailed it😭 I don’t know about the bride and groom but this is one of my favorite photos of the entire day.
Reason #120492 of why you should have more free time in the timeline on your wedding day. We finished with pre-ceremony family photos sooner than expected. With that, I got to spend a couple extra minutes we didn’t think we’d have and shot these more creative photos upstairs on the 3rd floor of the house.
Can you spot the bride?😁
