First and foremost, I want to thank my mom for being the one to coordinate my bridal shower. Yet another event I was SO excited for in preparation for the wedding. My mom organized most of it and tried to make it as much like “me” as possible. She did so great! She had custom champagne flutes made for everyone, a mimosa bar (including my favorite energy drink from Alani Nu in Mimosa Flavor) and our triangle arch was built by my grandpa in time to have it be a photo backdrop with everyone at the end! Now let’s get started and I’ll chat about some images!
This was a great idea for the bridal shower. Each person put in a date idea for Ryan and me and some of them were super creative!
HAD to have some Chick Fil A nuggets for the shower. Wouldn’t be me without it!
I was so happy to have some family members who live out of town to be able to make it to the shower. My grandma lives in Virginia some time and Florida some time. Thankfully she was able to come, along with my cousins from Jacksonville, Tampa, friends from Orlando…. I felt so loved ๐ญ
I swear we didn’t send out a memo for jean jackets – it just happened ๐
A couple of prizes for the girls! My new cousin-in-law, Jessica won my absolute fav candle ever!! My friend, Shacara won a bottle of one of the best bubblies!
It seems weird but this was an item on the registry I REALLY wanted ๐ “Is that a bong??” No. It’s not a bong LOL. I saw one of these similar at a friend’s apartment and fell in love. The bottle is an oil and vinegar bottle! It’s so aesthetically pleasing and I searched for a bottle like this for weeks! Couldn’t find it anywhere and I ended up finding it on like the 20th page of an Amazon search. Thank you, Cristina for getting this for us!! I still LOVE it and use it almost daily ๐
This handkerchief has been passed around my family for years – and has yet to be cleaned. It’s been used in multiple weddings by women in my family for their wedding day tears and it ended up being passed down to me for my wedding day. I ended up forgetting it in the hotel room the day of when I left and was SO sad about it. However, I can’t wait to be able to pass it to the next bride of our family!
My bridesmaids๐ค And check out the jean jackets, I mean ๐ I swear it wasn’t planned!
To conclude this personal blog post, I’m going back to this season of my life, I’m realizing how loved I felt. Getting married is such a unique time in your life as it’s one of the only times you are celebrated consistently for months by friends and family! It’s really cool, tbh. I’m so thankful to have been able to experience this. Above all, thank you to all my friends and fam that came and had a good time with us. I love you all!
